Got a quick one for you today folks! In my ongoing work on Flash in the Pan, I’ve designed all four of the core classes, which I’m calling the “Aces”. This is not one of them!

I’m still letting the Expert and Miracle Maker bake a bit longer, as they were a lot harder to nail down. For now, here’s one of a few stranger classes that will make up the world. One of the “Jacks”, if you will.

Based originally on a really fun class by Kahvu, and a conversion done by the nonstop Spwack, the Battlefield Raven plays with what makes the GLOG so special. Multiclassing and playing really strange stuff!

Battlefield Raven

Sleek and smart, the Raven flies above the battle. Watching for stillness, it dives to tear hunks from the dead.

One kind’s war, after all, is another’s feast.

A: Cunning Corvid, Pound of Flesh
B: Familiar, +1 MD

Gear: Beak and claws (damage as a dagger), clever eyes, wide wings.

A: Cunning Corvid

You’re a simple raven, a careful scavenger and beautiful bird. You can fly as fast as a person can walk, and any gambits involving distraction have advantage. Any time somebody would attack you, they must roll 1d20. If they roll a 1, you are hit.

However, you have only a single capacity slot, and add 1d6 to your luck score.

A: Pound of Flesh

When you roll maximum damage with your beak or claws, you shred the target.

#Shred
1Target makes a morale test or is stunned for a turn.
21d2 of the target’s ears are ripped off, if they’re a humanoid, you come away clutching an earring worth 10$ times their HD.
3Target loses 1 damage reduction, as you cut the straps on their armor, or unfasten their shield.
4Target makes a luck test or drops their weapon.
51d2 of the target’s eyes are blinded, creatures who see this and like their eyes test morale.
6You rip out and eat the target’s tongue, allowing you to learn a single word in a language they know to mimic.

B: Familiar

Roll 1d8 on any Anomaly spell list. You learn the selected spell and gain a single magic die to cast it. As long as you’re touching an ally, you may grant them your MD, and they can cast the spell for as long as you remain touching.

You may replace a chance to “shred” a target and instead chew a bit off the enemy, recovering your magic die.
